In "Make More with Meat", our Master Butcher will supply a leg of pork and a chicken for everyone. He will demonstrate various techniques by dissecting the pork into different cuts. He will show how to string a joint of meat, make pork parcels, cut port steaks, make a meat plait and pork burgers. He will also bone and stuff a chicken.
After each demonstration you will be supervised while you work with the meats. The course tutor will cook his meat along with potatoes and veg, to provide a tasty lunch.
You will need to bring in at least 4 large containers to take home your prepared cuts of meat. There will not be time to cook the meat on the day, but everything will be fresh, so they can either be frozen or cooked at home.
The course costs £80, which consists of £50 for the course, and £30 for the various meats used throughout the day.
