The locals were provided with entertainment from youths and young children from Thomas Willingale School, which included dancing and carol singing. Performing Arts students from Epping Forest College were also there to help support the festivities. First year studentsfrom the college sang a range of carols to the exceptionally encouraging locals, whilst second year students dressed up as Mrs Claus, The Snowman and Mr Penguin to shed some festive spirit to the parents and children. Student Eliot Munroe said: "It's that time of year again and we just want to bring smiles to people’s faces as Christmas draws closer.”
Head of Performing Arts Phil Hall said: “The College is delighted that they can support the local community in this way. The ceremony also allows for the group to gain some valuable performing experience to a crowd. Everyone has had a wonderful time getting everyone ready for Christmas.”
The event was kindly organised by Loughton Town Council and the Debden Traders
Association.
